We're Celebrating our Solar Return
Join LION's Birthday Gathering on June 19th
This year’s summer gathering is coming straight after May’s Spring Gathering. We wanted to celebrate 6 years of LION and raise funds for our Land Fund.
We will be graced with performances from Island Girl and Chiron Choir as well as delicious Palestinian food. We will also have a self-guided arts & crafts table where you will have access to pens, paints, paper and embroidery. We will be selling non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks and merch. All proceeds from this event will go towards our Land Fund.
We will be selling two types of tickets. All tickets include food and performances.
Entry Only - £10 minimum
Sauna + Entry - £15 minimum
Donation Only - This does not grant you entry, but is for folks who want to support but can't attend.
There will be 7 different 60 minute sessions available for each Sauna ticket throughout the night. You can choose the session which you can attend when you purchase your tickets below. If cost is a barrier but you'd still like to attend, please drop sam[at]landinournames.community an email.
Chiron Choir is a vocal ensemble open to diasporic women, femmes and non-binary musicians and non-musicians of all vocal abilities organised by Hannah Catherine Jones.
Island Girl is a DJ, banjoist, and vocalist, she weaves together the sounds of traditional jazz, folk music, and urban beats, creating something completely unique. Her music is an exploration of cultural heritage and the diasporic experience, blending old-world melodies with modern grooves.
Land In Our Names was founded under an apple tree in 2019. Since then, we've been through multiple lockdowns where our access to the outdoors was extremely limited. Our work has evolved and grown, building off the work of collaborative projects such as Cultivating Justice, Rootz Into Food Growing and Jumping Fences, we have been centring community events such as Fallow, Seasonal Gatherings and our Dandelion Garden drop-ins. A big part of our work over the past two years is raising money and building our strategy for setting up a Land Project in Britain.
